Maasmechelen Village is a pan-European shopping destination, strategically located at the crossroads where Belgium and the Netherlands meet, and draws from a wide European customer base. The Village opened its doors for the first time in October 2001.

The design of Maasmechelen Village celebrates the architectural heritage of the Limburg region with building form and detail inspired by the artisan craft and traditions of the area.

A pan-European shopping destination, Maasmechelen Village is strategically located at the crossroads where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet, just one hour from Brussels, Düsseldorf and Cologne and readily accessible from Antwerp, via the E314 / A2 Motorway.

As part of the official tourism recognition received by the town of Maasmechelen, Maasmechelen Village was granted special permission in 2007 to trade on Sunday and is the only outlet shopping destination in Belgium to be open on Sunday.

Access

A dedicated access road leads visitors directly from Junction 33 of the E314 to Maasmechelen Village. The Village operates its own direct coach service – the Shopping Express® – from Brussels.

A bus service operates between stations in Genk, Hasselt, Maastricht and Maasmechelen Village. A regular train service runs from Brussels to Genk station (in Belgium), only 15 minutes by car from the Village.

Brussels International, Antwerp International, Eindhoven, Maastricht, Aachen, Köln, Bonn and Düsseldorf International airports are all within reach of the Village.
